The LEED Green Building Rating System™ is a third-party certification program from the US Green Building Council (USGBC). It is a nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of environmentally sustainable development. Many of CONTECH's solutions may qualify for LEED credits. The LEED Rating System - New Construction and Major Renovation
The LEED Rating System is a point system that evaluates a green building project by assessing each material and system used. The number of points earned determines the level of LEED certification the project receives. Typically, CONTECH's products fall under the LEED for New Construction and Major Renovations rating system, which is designed to guide and distinguish high-performance commercial and institutional projects.
Prerequisites and credits in the LEED 2009 for New Construction and Major Renovations that CONTECH products may qualify for are:

- Gold
- Platinum

- 50-59 points
- 60-79 points
- 80 points and above

*GBCI will recognize buildings that achieve one of these rating levels with a formal letter of certification.
